You're a Survivor!

I have had this paper for quite a while now and keep thinking to myself, "I really need to make something with that." But every time I pick it up, I put it back down. Then I got an email for the MarkerPOP blog! The theme for the bi-weekly challenge is pink! Create anything Pink with your markers from MarkerPOP. And of course the first thing that I thought of was this paper and this stamp! The card base is craft cardstock measuring 4 x 10.5 (folded is 4 x 5.25). Then I matted the design paper from mambi 3.75 x 5. The sentiments are all from a SP&Co stamp set: Awareness is Empowering. They are stamped in lavender craftsmart ink. All edges are inked in Tim Holtz Distress Ink: Victorian Velvet. The image is Awareness Anya by The Greeting Farm. She is stamped onto Copic Xpress it cardstock in Memento: Tuxedo Black ink. I colored her with my Copic Markers. Hair~ YR20, YR21, YR23 Skin~ E0000, E000 Dress~ RV52, RV55 Ribbon~ RV23, RV25 and her boots I just used a Gelly Roll pen in metallic pink. I wanted to add a bit of bling lol. And that's it! I think this card turned out super cute!

More Lego fun!

I took a ton of pictures at my nieces party and wanted to make an album for her! I found a cute paper pack at walmart that had some lego design paper in it! The inside is very, very, basic. No slots, pockets, or fold out pages. You can see an in depth look on my youtube channel. But I was super proud of the charm that I made out of real legos! Sorry about the pictures being taken in my lap. Haha! I forgot to take them until after I had given it to her! Check it out!!

Another canvas project!

When I did the mixed media canvas for my sister in law a few months back, I decided to do one for my friend at work as well. I got permission from her daughter to get some pictures from facebook of her son (my friends grandson) and bought all my supplies that I would need. Then I just never got around to doing it! So this past weekend, I made myself it! You can see full details in my youtube video but wanted to post pictures here on my blog along with the card that I made for her. I will include the card details since I didn't do a video on it :) The base is a pre-folded card from The Paper Studio (Hobby Lobby). It measures 4x5 1/2 but it opens vertical instead of your traditional horizontal. Like a match book. I used the same bandana paper as I used on the canvas and the same twine as well. The flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts. The two larger ones are the 3/4 (20mm)in Rustic Red (now discontinued) and a yellow from the Mixed Earth Tone open roses pack. The smaller is one 3/8 (10mm) form the Brown Tone open roses. The sentiment is from SP&Co (store closing June 1, 2014) "Friends Forever" by Gill Roberts. I used a die cut from my Cricut Imagine "stock images" and used some brown ink to stamp it. I popped it up on some foam tape and there you have it! Not shown on the inside I used a journaling card from the Project Life Core Kit: Blush Edition and a little bit of wood grain washi tape.

Lego Party

With the release of the Lego Movie a few months ago, my niece decided that she wanted a Lego party this year! I was really stumped on how I was going to pull that off seeing as how I have absolutely NO Cricut cartridges with Lego type people! I got my Gypsy out and started welding images together to try to make a Lego looking character....fail! Haha! Luckily Pinterest came to my rescue! I found AAAAAAALLLLL sorts of ideas there! All of the pictures are inspired from Pinterest except the streamers. They were all my idea! Haha! Let's start with the invitations-the inside was a free downloadable that I stuck down to a pre folded base from Hobby Lobby (Except the blue, I cut and folded them myself). The front cover was made by downloading the Lego font, printing it on cardstock and punching them out with a 1 inch circle punch. I glued two circles together to give them a bit of height and inked the edges to give them a bit more dimension. Next the banner-I found a background image that I liked and used my Gypsy to size it correctly. I got the letters from a free downloadable (before I had downloaded the font for myself), punched holes for the 1/8 sized eyelets and ran some thin ribbon through the eyelets. Each individual banner piece measures 5&1/2 by 5&1/2 so I made them two separate words. The cupcake picks-this was also a free downloadable. You just print, fussy cut, fold and glue to tooth picks! Easy Peesy!! I used the same image for the dangles on the streamers and the little heads on the inside of the invitations. The only difference is I printed them in Landscape format instead of Portrait. This way they printed just a tad bigger. Oh and of course I cut the two pieces apart and mixed them up for the invitations. As you can see in the picture of the cupcakes, I made a sign showing she is 6!Used a giant flat Lego base and various Legos along with two large alligator clips and yellow ribbon. So that was my contribution to the Lego Party! Enjoy the pictures! For links to the particular pins that I used, check out the description box of my youtube videos for these projects. :)

Tag Book

Two blogs in one night! I've been behind on things. I'm behind on my PL (I do have the pictures and have them all planned out, just not done). I will try to get them done next weekend. So I sub to the Graphic 45 blog and got this awesome post about a tag book! I didn't have any of the G45 tags or even the paper but made up my own version! I grabbed my gypsy and found a tag. I created two sizes and cut them all out. I used a collection of papers from GCD Studios called Botanique. I used some twine from Michael's, a charm from Hobby Lobby, seam binding from Wild Orchid Crafts, some lace from my stash and some adhesive trim from Michael's. I inked all the edges with Tim Holtz walnut stain. The binding ring is from 7 gypsy's and was actually pewter. But I colored it with one of my copic markers to match the book better. This was my project for National Scrapbooking Day!

File it away

Check out these mini file folder journals! I got this idea from a couple of ladies that I sub to on youtube. I'm so excited about them! I made the file folders with my Tim Holtz sizzix die and used a Cosmo Cricket collection. I used various flowers on the front. Each journal is similar but with subtle changes so that they are still unique!
